Brunel PI Joins ClimateWise

We are delighted to welcome Brunel PI as our latest member. Brunel PI is also our first professional indemnity broker member, and bring with them a unique perspective on the impacts of climate risk to insurers and customers. This is also well in-line with the membership’s aim to be inclusive as possible to all types of insurers, and to be representative of the many players in the industry.

"Climate change exposes professional practitioners to new and potentially unconsidered risks and for this reason Brunel, as a specialist professional indemnity broker, has considered the issues in some detail enabling it to provide clients with advice in relation to risk mitigation. An advantage of the disciplines adopted in a good sustainability model transfer positively to other areas of business management and to risk management. A clear and believable sustainability policy is now also a vital ingredient in tendering for and winning professional business End user clients' requirements are cascading down the supply chain. It is therefore sensible for us at Brunel to take a pro-active approach to a reduction of its own emissions albeit that we are a small but expanding business.

Making our business sustainable has taken time and commitment. There are however significant advantages, reducing travel, paper stationery and other business consumables saves money. Aside from the immediate commercial goals, we want Brunel's sustainability protocols to also make us, as a business, a good global citizen and for its staff, clients and other stakeholders to be aware of the issues we all face as a result of the impacts of climate change"
Russell Lane, Managing Director, Brunel Professional Risks Ltd
