Prince calls for 'eco bonus' on insurance

THE Prince of Wales yesterday called on insurance companies to offer incentives to customers who lead Environmentally friendly lifestyles.

Charles said firms should consider rewarding consumers who drive low- emission cars and live in fuel-efficient homes with lower premiums to encourage people to make greener choices.

Speaking ahead of the Association of British Insurers Climate Change Conference in London today, he insisted insurers had a vital part to play in the baffle to get consumers to switch to greener lifestyle choices.
